Thankfully, many deadly and harmful diseases have been eliminated or significantly decreased in the United States due to vaccines. However, many of these same diseases are still common in other parts of the world and can be easily brought here by travelers, which is why keeping your child up to date on their immunizations is so important. Immunizing your child also helps protect others who cannot be vaccinated due to health reasons or those who do not respond to immunizations. Color Country Pediatrics understands immunizations can sometimes be a confusing or emotional subject for many parents, which is why we constantly strive to provide the most up to date and evidence-based information available to you. Our registered nurses complete annual immunization training and stay up to date on the any schedule changes and new studies regarding vaccines. Our nurses and physicians are more than happy to take extra time to address any concerns you have regarding immunizations as well as provide you with any educational material to help you feel comfortable and provide the best possible care for your child.
Color Country Pediatrics follows the schedule as developed by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), that has been approved by both the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
